Cadet Sea Report exists to help cadets and mariners make informed decisions. To keep reviews useful, fair, and safe, please follow these rules.
You may describe
- Pay and allowances
- Working conditions and workload
- Safety concerns and safety culture
- Training quality
- Food, berthing, and fatigue
- Treatment of cadets and crew
- Whether you would recommend the ship
You may not
- Name individual crew members
- Attack or harass individual people
- Dox people or share private personal information
- Accuse named people of crimes
- Post threats
- Include emails, phone numbers, home addresses, or exact room numbers
- Share private medical information
- Include exact sailing dates that could identify you or others
Moderation
Every review is moderated before it appears publicly. We automatically flag content that may contain private or unsafe information, and our team reviews flagged submissions. We may edit a review to remove identifying or private details, mark it as needing review, or reject it if it breaks the rules.
Anonymity
Reviews are displayed anonymously using a role label such as “Engine Cadet, Summer 2026.” We never publicly display your name, email, school, company, credential numbers, uploaded documents, or exact dates.
